Western Europe is gearing up to meet the new security situation. And the Swedish Armed Forces is no exception. All in all the national defense budget is to be increased to two percent of Swedens gross domestic product. But it entails challenges to turn these monetary additions into increased military capability such as infrastructure, materiel and personnel, among other things.
